Petz Kolophonium
Petz Kolophonium
Petz Kolophonium was launched in 1912 by Ernst Petzka in Vienna (Austria).
Being a musician himself Ernst invented Petz rozin formula as a result of the numerous experiments. As soon as the rosin gained recognition in the musical community, Ernst was suggested to organize its manufacturing and export worldwide.
The company has still manufactured and exported Petz rosin. All subsequent owners follow the recipe and traditions of the popular brand. Since 1995, Elizabeth and Rudolf Kegl have taken up the mantle. Now Petz Kolophonium is a modern export-import wholesale company specializing in string and bow instruments and accessories, as well as tools and materials for violin masters. The company’s wholesale customers and dealers are based in more than 80 countries worldwide.
