Workshop "CKM-Luthier" Ukraine

Within the international project to support young talents and promote violin music in Ukraine in 2014, Artistic Association "World of Classical Music" (SKM) established «CKM-Luthier», the first Ukrainian bowed string instruments workshop. Yurii Kuyun and Ihor Ivanyuk, the violin luthiers well-known in Europe and CIS countries, have been invited to run the workshop.

Ihor Ivanyuk is also the first violin master expert evaluator of cultural values in Ukraine (Qualification Certificate № 65 of April 5th 2014 of the State Property Fund of Ukraine).

CKM-Luthier’s main goal is to provide musicians with high quality instruments at an affordable price.

«CKM-Luthier» instruments have become popular with students and professional musicians in Ukraine and CIS countries as well as in Europe and the USA.

For instance, Professor Oleg Krysa’s students at the Eastman School of Music (USA) play the Heifetz I Kreisler violins.

The Kreisler violin is played in Vancouver, Canada.

The University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW) students play Gibson I Guarneri violins!

Stradivari violin is played in Poland.

A student of the Academy of Music in Zagreb (Croatia) plays Eva violin.

Of particular note is Konstantin Lukinyuk, a young Ukrainian musician from Chernivtsy, who played Heifetz violin at Oleg Krysa 2nd International Violin Competition in 2016 (the recording is available on the Competition website).

Gibson violin became a special prize at Oleg Krysa 2nd International Violin Competition won by Yana Stadnyk, Ukraine.
